01About Triply & acceptance
Triply (“Triply”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [Registered company name] Pvt. Ltd., [Registered office address], Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Triply provides a mobile application and website (together, the “Platform”) that connects people who are driving between cities and have empty seats (“Drivers”) with people travelling the same way (“Passengers”).
By creating an account, downloading the app or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation & Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Triply.
02Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
- You sign up with a mobile number verified by OTP. You must provide accurate, current information — your real name, photo, email and, where required, identity documents.
- You may hold only one account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately at support@triply.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
03Nature of the service
Triply is a technology platform and acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We help Drivers and Passengers find each other — we do not provide transport services, own or operate vehicles, or employ Drivers.
- The contract for each ride is between the Driver and the Passenger(s). Triply is not a party to it.
- Drivers are private individuals travelling on their own journey. They are not taxi operators, agents or employees of Triply.
- Rides on Triply are for cost-sharing only — seat prices help cover fuel and tolls and must not generate a profit.
04Verification
To publish rides, Drivers must complete verification: a government ID (Aadhaar or PAN), a valid driving licence, the vehicle’s Registration Certificate (RC), vehicle photos and a live selfie. Our team reviews documents manually before a profile is marked “Verified”.
Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee of any member’s identity, conduct or driving ability. Always review profiles, ratings and reviews, and use your own judgement before travelling with someone.
05Driver responsibilities
- Hold a valid driving licence and drive only a vehicle you are legally allowed to drive, with a valid RC, insurance (including third-party cover as required by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988) and PUC certificate.
- Use a private, roadworthy vehicle and keep it clean and safe. Commercial / yellow-plate vehicles may not be used for Triply rides.
- Offer no more than 4 seats per ride and never exceed the vehicle’s legal seating capacity.
- Set a seat price between ₹50 and ₹5000 that reflects a fair share of costs. Triply shows a recommended price for each route.
- Publish accurate ride details — route, stopovers, pick-up and drop-off points, date, time and vehicle — and keep them updated.
- Turn up on time, follow all traffic laws, and never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs or while using a phone.
- Treat Passengers with respect. Do not collect more than the agreed seat price.
06Passenger responsibilities
- Book only the number of seats you need and be at the pick-up point on time.
- Pay the agreed seat price as shown at booking — in the app or in the car, as indicated for the ride.
- Respect the Driver’s vehicle and stated travel preferences (smoking, pets, music, chattiness).
- Carry only reasonable personal luggage and never carry illegal, dangerous or prohibited items.
- Wear a seat belt at all times and follow the Driver’s reasonable safety instructions.
07Bookings, pricing & payments
- Passengers send a booking request, which the Driver approves or rejects. Where a Driver has enabled Instant Book, the seat is confirmed immediately.
- The price per seat, any stopover price and the total payable are shown before you confirm a booking.
- Depending on the ride, payment is made in cash/UPI directly to the Driver in the car (“Pay in the car”) or online through the app where available.
- Online payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). Triply does not store your full card or bank details.
- Any platform or convenience fee, and applicable taxes, will be shown clearly before you pay.
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
08Driver plans & subscriptions
Drivers may use a Free plan or purchase a paid plan (such as Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly) that unlocks additional features. Plan features, duration and price are shown in the app at the time of purchase and on our pricing page.
- A plan becomes active once payment is confirmed and remains valid for the duration purchased.
- Plans do not renew automatically unless this is clearly stated and agreed to at the time of purchase.
- Triply may offer free access to plans for limited periods (for example, during launch) and may end such offers with notice.
- Plan refunds are covered in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
09Ratings, reviews & your content
After each ride, Drivers and Passengers can rate and review each other. Reviews must be honest, relevant and based on a real ride. Your profile photo, mini bio, messages and reviews are your content; you grant Triply a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on the Platform in order to operate the service.
We may remove content that is false, abusive, discriminatory, unlawful or that breaches these Terms.
10Prohibited conduct
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or any sexual or violent behaviour.
- Fake profiles, impersonation, or submitting forged or someone else’s documents.
- Using Triply for commercial transport, profit-making or carrying goods for payment.
- Arranging or taking payment outside the agreed seat price, or attempting to avoid Platform fees.
- Scraping, hacking, reverse-engineering or disrupting the Platform, or sending spam.
- Any activity that breaks Indian law.
11Safety, reporting & suspension
You can report any member from their profile or a ride using “Report this member”, or contact Get Support in the app. Our trust & safety team reviews every report.
We may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently remove any account that breaches these Terms, receives serious or repeated complaints, or puts the community at risk. Where a ride is cancelled by Triply for safety reasons, affected Passengers are handled as set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, and the Driver may be penalised.
12Intellectual property
The Triply name, logo, app, website, design and software belong to [Registered company name] Pvt. Ltd. and are protected by law. You may use the Platform only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose and may not copy, modify or distribute any part of it without our written permission.
13Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. As an intermediary, Triply is not responsible for the conduct of Drivers or Passengers, the condition of vehicles, delays, accidents, injury, loss or damage arising from a ride, or for agreements made between members.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Triply’s total liability to you for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid to Triply (excluding seat prices paid to Drivers) in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
14Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Triply, its directors, employees and partners from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your conduct during a ride.
15Closing your account
You can close your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Close my account in the app, or by writing to support@triply.app. Upcoming bookings and published rides must be cancelled first. We delete or anonymise your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, except where we must retain it by law.
16Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
17Grievance redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, our Grievance Officer is:
